Off-Road

Off-Road Power & 4x4 Electrical

When the pavement ends, you still need cold food, comms, lights, and a truck that starts every time. We build and supply trail-rated 12V and 24V systems for trucks, campers, and overland rigs with clean wiring, correct fusing, and real battery monitoring that survives corrugations and weather.

Built for abuse. Wired for clarity.

We design off-road electrical the same way we install it in the shop: serviceable, labeled, and rock solid. These are the parts and approaches we trust on real Oregon trails.

Dual-battery charging

Alternator-friendly DC-DC chargers tuned for lithium or AGM. Drive time equals charge time.

Distribution that makes sense

Bus bars, class-T and MRBF fusing, and tidy looms so field diagnostics are quick.

Real state of charge

SmartShunt or BMV — accurate SOC so you stop guessing and start planning.

Trail-proof connections

Anderson quick-connects and sealed glands for portable solar and accessories.

Common off-road questions

Do I need a DC-DC charger if I already have solar?
Yes. Driving is the most reliable way to recover capacity. Solar is a great supplement, but trees, winter angles, and dust make it unpredictable.
Can I run the fridge from my start battery?
We recommend a dedicated house battery with proper fusing and DC-DC charging. Your start battery stays protected so the truck always fires up.
SmartShunt or BMV?
SmartShunt if you want Bluetooth and no panel. BMV if you want a physical display. Either way, accurate SOC beats guessing.

Ready for a clean, reliable off-road power system?

We can design and install the whole setup, or ship the right parts with guidance. Clean, labeled wiring, correct fusing, and programming that just works.
